Maddies Fund Grant

For the past three years—2005, 2006 & 2007, Rutherford County Animal Control has published data on the Rutherford County NC website. The data for the year ending 2008 has been calculated and reviewed and links are provided at the end of the list below. Information from Animal Control as well as Community Coalition data (that includes activities of the Rutherford County Humane Society and The Community Pet Center) are available by clicking on these links.

Note that in 2008, the live release rate for our community was 21.6%. We believe that the economic environment, increased job losses and foreclosure rates have resulted in more pet surrenders which in turn have deflated our live animal release rate somewhat from 2007.
