The Farmers' Market will open on Tuesday, May 31, 2011.
The Farmers' Market will operate May-November, on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7am-12Noon.
*Open only on Fridays early part of season based on volume on available produce.
The Rutherford County Farmers' Market is located at 260 Fairgrounds Road in Spindale. Local producers and market gardeners interested in selling at the Farmers' Market can contact Jan McGuinn at the Rutherford County Extension Center at (828)287-6011.
Produce & Products
The following items are available at the Farmers' Market: Apple, Muscadine Grape, Dried Apples, Cabbage, Eggplant, Mustard Greens, Mixed Greens, Onion, Bell Pepper, Hot Pepper, Irish Potato, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, Tomatoes, Turnips, Purple Hull Peas, Herbs, Potted Flowers, Honey, Molasses, Baked Goods, Handmade Items, Variety of Meat (Pork Chops, Tenderloin, Sausage, Boston Butt, Side Meat).

Mission Statement: Provide the agriculture producers a marketing source for locally-grown products that is consumer driven. The Farmer’s Market also serves as a participating member of the North Carolina Farmers’ Nutrition Program working to improve nutrition of low-income women, infants, and children.
