A Rich Heritage

Down the Great Philadelphia Wagon Road Warrior's trails, Indian and Buffalo trails came the immigrants from Pensylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and other places.

These early settlers came into Rutherford County lured by "Greene Grass". Many made this area their home and some were here only briefly before heading South and West, but they left their trails. This makes Rutherford County a storehouse of information for more than 3500 pioneer families who were here in the 1700's and 1800's.
