Rutherford County Boards and Commissions

County government is the shared responsibility of elected officials, staff, and many citizens who serve on various boards and commissions. The participation of citizens is an integral part of the decision-making process the Commissioners use in striving to improve services to the residents of Rutherford County.

Some board and commission seats require designated skills or training as specified by the regulations. The Board of Commissioners must appoint persons who meet those guidelines.

Information is provided on the following links about boards and commissions to which the Board of Commissioners make appointments. This includes the mission of these boards and their regular meeting times. A list of the boards and current members is provided along with an application that you may use if you have an interest in serving on one of the Boards.
