Mission: Rutherford County's Information Technology department is responsible for managing the county's computer systems, including mainframes, networks, personal computers, peripheral equipment, and software. This department also recommends systems for purchase, performs repairs, and provides software support. IT provides advice and consultation to managers, supervisors, and employees on all aspects of the county's information technology systems. A Strategic Technology Plan developed in 2004 allows for long range planning and implementation.
