New Patron Information
New patrons must fill out a registration card with proof of address. New patrons are limited to one adult item or two juvenile items. The item must be brought back in time to receive your new library card. If you bring the item in late you must begin again as a new patron.
We have limits on the number of items you can have checked out. Inquire at the front desk as to what the limits are.
The Rutherford County Library is a member of the CMC Consortium. Your new library card is good at all CMC libraries.
All items are checked out for 2 weeks. We will renew items twice unless the item is on <hold> for another patron.
You can renew books one of three ways:
- In person
- Telephone
- Using our website on the internet
In order to renew books over the internet you must have a PIN number. Inquire at the front desk for instructions.
