Marriage License

Applicants 16 or 17 years of age must have:
• Parental Consent
• Certified copies of their birth certificate
• Social Secirity cards
• Driver's license or Photo ID
• Parents will have to show picture ID.

Applicants over the age of 18 must have:
• Drivers's license or picture ID
• Social Security card
• Certified copy of their birth certificate is
required if Photo ID is not available.

Applicants over the age of 21 must have:
• Driver's license or picture ID
• Social Security card.

Divorced applicants must provide the month and year of their last divorce. If the divorce was finalized within the last 12 months of applying for the license, the applicant must provide a certified copy of the divorce. There is no waiting period between the divorce and applying for the new license.

Marriage License are issued Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

There is no waiting period to use the marriage license. The marriage license is good for sixty days from the date it is issued.

The fee for the license is $60.00.

If an applicant for a marriage license is over 18 years of age and is unable to appear in person at the register of deeds' office, the other party to the planned marriage must appear in person on behalf of the applicant and submit a sworn and notarized affidavit in lieu of the absent applicant's personal appearance.
