 Farmer's Market Report


The Rutherford County Farmers' Market will open for the season on Saturday, April 25, 2015.

Come join us at our new location on 172 Depot Street in Forest City.

Hours of operation are:

Tuesday  8 a.m. - 12 noon

Saturday 8 a.m. - 12 noon

*** Thursday afternoon/evenings from 3:00-7:00 p.m. will be at

Indoor Market Location beginning June 18th thru August 27, 2015. 

As part of a new venture in expanding the services offered by the Rutherford County Farmers Market, an Indoor Market will be operating this year in extending shopping opportunities during the week.

The Indoor Farmers Market is located at 108 W. Main Street in Forest City, and will be open on Thursday afternoons from 3-7 p.m.

Local producers and market gardeners interested in selling at the Farmers' Market can contact Brenda Watson, Market Manager, at (828) 287-6080.

The Rutherford County Extension Center is located at 193 Callahan-Koon Road in Spindale.

Mission Statement: Provide the agriculture producers a marketing source for locally-grown products that is consumer driven. The Farmer’s Market also serves as a participating member of the North Carolina Farmers’ Nutrition Program working to improve nutrition of low-income women, infants, and children.
