The Rutherford County Farmers’ Market Committee will meet on Thursday, October 30, 2014, 9:00 a.m. at the Rutherford County Extension Center located at 193 Callahan-Koon Road in Spindale.
RETAIL READY FOR LOCAL PRODUCE WORKSHOP
For our local growers, a ‘Retail Ready for Local Produce’ Workshop will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Mill Spring Ag Center. This is one of
two workshops being offered in the state. The other will on the NCSU Campus -
December 10th. The workshops are free will focus on how to enhance your
marketing skills in getting your farm products into grocery stores, co-op markets,
food hubs, hospitals and schools.
The ‘Retail Ready For Local Produce’ Workshops are being sponsored by Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, The Support Center and NC State
University. The Mill Spring Ag Center is located at 156 School Road, in Mill
Spring, North Carolina.
