Vacation Leave: Employees working the basic workweek of 37.5 hours
Less than 2 years - 5.76 hours per month

2 years but less than 5 years - 6.92 hours per month
5 years but less than 10 years - 8.66 hours per month
10 years but less than 15 years - 10.38 hours per month
15 years or more - 12.12 hours per month
Sick Leave: Employees working the basic workweek of 37.5 hours - 6.92 hours per month

Health Insurance with the State Health Plan effective first of the month following thirty days of employment.
Two plan choices: 70/30 plan with minimum premium of $25.00 and 80/20 plan with minimum premium of $50.00 view additional rates and information at www.shpnc.org.

Dental through Delta Dental
County pays fee for employee only coverage
Spouse coverage - $60.13
Child/Children coverage - $60.13
Family Coverage - $94.84

Life Insurance:
County pays for $10,000 coverage on full time employees and supplemental policies are available.

Comprehensive Plan:
Employee - $11.92
Employee plus One - $22.64

Employee - $9.31
Employee plus One - $17.76

NC401K through Prudential:
Full time regular employees: County contributes 3.25% of salary
Full time Law enforcement:  County contributes 5% of salary
Employees may contribute additional amounts.

Retirement:
Local Government Employee's Retirement System through the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer; www.myncretirement.com.
Full retirement benefits after 30 years of service at any age, or at age 60 with 25 years of service or at 65 with 5 years of service.
Reduced retirement benefit at age 50 with at least 20 years of service or at age 60 with at least 5 years of service.
Additional benefits for law enforcement officers
Employees contributes 6% of salary per month and County contributes 14.10%.

Counseling services are available to all county employees and eligible dependents through Preferred Choice Healthcare.  Employee files on insurance.
