Marriage Certificates
We have marriage certificates for individuals that obtained their marriage license in Rutherford County. Our marriage records start with the year 1867 and go through the present.
The following individuals can obtain a certified copy: yourself, spouse, father, mother, grandparent, step-parent, brother, sister, child, stepchild, grandchild, great grandparent, great grandchild, authorized agent, attorney and legal representative. You must show driver's license or picture identification to obtain a certified copy.

PLEASE NOTE THE MAXIMUM QUANTITY ALLOWED PER ORDER IS 6. IF THE QUANTITY IS MORE THAN 6, SUBMIT AN ADDITIONAL ORDER.
You may obtain a certified copy of a marriage certificate through the mail by submitting a letter to the Register of Deeds office or completing the application provided here:
