Employee of the Quarter
Mrs. Michelle Padgett is our Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2020. Michelle began her employment as an Income Maintenance Caseworker in Medicaid in January 2007 and in August of that year moved to a social work position in Child Care. In May 2016, she began working in Children Services as a Foster Care Social Worker and in January 2019, moved into her current position as a Social Worker in Adult Services managing a guardianship caseload. Michelle has a strong work ethic and goes above and beyond to meet the needs of the consumers that she serves. She has a positive attitude and is well respected by her co-workers and other professionals in the community. Michelle’s mother was employed by the Agency for 45 years, and we are glad that she followed in her footsteps and inherited her exceptional work ethic.
Michelle is a native of Rutherford County and graduated from R-S Central High School and Gardner-Webb University where she received a BS Degree in Accounting. Prior to coming to DSS, Michelle worked for Rutherford Polk Mental Health and later for two private mental health agencies. Michelle is married to Jason Padgett and they have two daughters. She and her family are active members of Florence Baptist Church.
Congratulations Michelle, and thank you for your dedication and commitment to Rutherford County DSS and the citizens of our County.
